Because Marianna Vardinogianni was one of those pioneers who, nowadays, turned the so-called “philanthropy” into a tangible social work. Beyond the brilliance of her name and beyond the financial power of her family.

I was lucky enough to be her friend and interlocutor, mainly through my acquaintance with her children. And I can attest to the sensitivity and tenderness with which her first name was invested with her heavy surname.
