In the context of this preliminary investigation will be duly sought the decisions taken at meetings of the Coordinating Body of the Civil Protection of the Regional Unit of Rhodes to determine which projects, which prevention and preparedness measures were taken to prevent and deal with forest fires during the 2023 fire fighting season.

Assigned in the context of the same prosecutorial investigation, in addition to the inspection of the Aegean Forestry Policy and the Directorate of Forests of Rhodes, the conduct of a similar investigation regarding the drawing and implementation of a project of fire protection zones for the prevention of fires in the fire protection season of 2023.
In addition, the Magistrate of Rhodes is called upon to request and cause a similar investigation by the Environmental Inspectors on the extent and causes of the environmental disaster, as well as a report by the Fire Department of Rhodes and the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes of the Fire Brigade on the causes and extent of the disaster.

The Criminal Prosecutor of Rhodes assigns with the same order the conduct of an independent relevant investigation to the inspectors of the National Transparency Authority, who are also called upon to investigate the causes and culprits of the forest fire not being extinguished in time, the possible lack of planning, coordination and preparedness of the competent bodies and the lack of fire-fighting zones and adequate means of suppressing the fire.
