Reinforcement of electricity consumers in August announced today the Ministry of Environment and Energy with a total amount of 19 million euros.

Specifically, as regards August, subsidies for electricity in household tariffs and for all main and non-main residence services, without income criteria and regardless of providerare configured as follows:

For monthly consumptions up to 500kWhthe enhancement will be 10 Euros/MWh. This category includes 90% of households in Greece.

Those with a monthly consumption of more than 500 kWh will receive the same supporton the condition that they reduce by 15% the average daily energy consumption compared to the corresponding last year.

In households included in Social Household Tariff (CTO) the enhancement amounts to 50 Euro/MWh and absorbs the entire increased cost.

Furthermore for farmersregardless of supply power and voltage level, h enhancement amounts to 10 Euros/MWh.

Last week, it is recalled, the suppliers announced electricity tariffs for August which fluctuate at the same or lower levels compared to July. The government subsidies announced today are subtracted from the announced tariffs to arrive at the final consumer price.
