In the mountainous volume of Pelion the snowfall is very intense and dense and mainly in Eastern Pelion, since the area is at the center of bad weather. Already, in Zagora the snow has exceeded 10 cm, while in higher villages, such as Kissos, it reaches about 20 cm and the snow is still falling very densely.
According to the mayor of Zagora-Mouresi, Panagiotis Kotsaftis, who spoke to APE-MPE, winds are blowing and a lot of snow is expected in the area, but the roads remain open and efforts are being made to keep both the main roads and the those who drive to the Zagora Health Center.
Schools in the greater Zagora area will be closed today and tomorrow.
