The closure of the national road extends to the tolls of Tragana at 121 km at the ascent to Lamia and from the tolls of Tragana to the descent to Athens, as well as to the roads leading to the old national road.
According to an announcement by the General Police Directorate of Central Greece, the circulation of any kind of heavy vehicle, with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tons, is prohibited in the departments:
-In the New National Road Athens-Lamia in both traffic streams, from 56,728th m / s to 67,655th m / s.
-In the New National Road Athens-Lamia in both traffic streams, from 67,655th km / h to 121,250th km / h.
Also, with the same decision, the circulation in the sections is prohibited:
-On the New National Road Schimatari-Chalkida in both traffic streams, from the 0.000th km / h to the 1,500th km / h.
-In the Old National Road Elefsina-Thebes in both traffic streams, from the 30th km / h to the 45th km / h.
Thus, from the tolls of Tragana to Athens, the movement of trucks over 3.5 tons is prohibited, while on the contrary, cars can travel.
The ban applies to both traffic streams, with the result that the internal transport is not served either, while at the same time hundreds of cars remain trapped in the national network in various places from the tolls of Tragana and to Athens.
Meanwhile, Almost all the ring roads in the north and west of Attica are blocked, due to the severity with which the bad weather hit the basin Elpida.
As far as the prefecture of Evia is concerned, the snowfall continues with great intensity, the traffic inside the prefecture is limited and the calls made by the mayors and the region are not to move the citizens due to the amount of snow, especially in all points exceeds 80cm.
