The 17th Panhellenic Mushroom Festival – the leading event of mushroom love and mushroom knowledge in the country and also the largest mushroom festival organized by a mushroom association on the planet – began in the Mushroom Park of the Municipality of Grevena with great success from the pre-holidays and exceeding all expectations.

This great institution, with free entry for the public, includes from August 17 to 20, educational seminars, delicious cooking, imaginative wood carving, thematic exhibitions, outdoor activities and musical concerts, always having as its central axis the famous Greveniot Mushroom.

It is recalled that the Mushroom Park, after its radical reconstruction carried out by the Municipality of Grevena, such as new walls and paving, green renewal, play area, modern LED lighting fixtures and outdoor exercise equipment, is one of the most popular landmarks of of the city of Grevena for sports and recreation, while in the immediate future the Municipal Authority will create a playground for the disabled at the Park through the NSRA.

The 17th Panhellenic Mushroom Festival, attracting hundreds of visitors from Greece and abroad, is organized by the Mushroom Lovers of Greece (Panhellenic Association based in Grevena), in collaboration with the Municipality of Grevena and the Regional Unit of Grevena and with the support of the Tourism Society of Western Macedonia.
