The 43-year-old Greek hooligan, who was arrested yesterday afternoon on the basis of an arrest warrant, is expected to be brought before the investigator today, as he was identified as one of those involved in the bloody incidents in New Philadelphia, where 29-year-old Michalis Katsouris was murdered.

According to reports, other arrest warrants are expected to be issued.

The 43-year-old, who was arrested by police officers of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Attica Security Directorate, is accused of forming and joining a criminal organization, a distinguished case of explosion with intent, a distinguished case of supply and possession of a large quantity of explosive and incendiary materials, violence against others, for dangerous bodily harm, committed and attempted, disturbing the peace, for continued damage to foreign property, for carrying weapons, using weapons, illegal possession and use of flares as well as for arson from which a danger to foreign property may arise in common , alleged to have been carried out under the aggravating circumstances of Professional and Amateur Sports.

In a search carried out at a house in the area of ​​Gyzi, in the arrested person’s car and two-wheeled motorcycle, the following were found and confiscated:

  • central computer unit, with the power and video cable,
  • 2 metal baseball bats
  • 2 helmets, black in color,
  • mobile phone device,
  • wooden frame and
  • helmet, black in color.
