Group that consists of 31 people sent by the Republic of Cyprus, in order to contribute to the efforts to extinguish the fires, following a relevant request.

As stated early in the morning by the press representative of the Cyprus Fire Service Andreas Kettis in his post on Twitter “the Cypriot mission is now leaving for Greece for support in extinguishing fires after coordinated efforts of the competent State Services and especially the Ministry of Justice and Public Order of Cyprus and the Minister of Justice and Public Order Annas Koukkidis-Prokopiou.The mission consists of 31 people (13 from the Cyprus Fire Service, 13 from Civil Defense and 5 from the Ambulance Service).
We wish them to be safe and that their support to our colleagues in Greece who have been fighting for days to extinguish the fire fronts will be as constructive as possible. The Archpriest of the P.Y. Mr. N. Longinos and the Head of the Ambulance Service R. Konstantinou wished the mission good success”.
