The seal Monachus monachus is one of the rarest animals in the world.

The cute seal found refuge in one of the most beautiful beaches of Evia.

Residents who spotted her worried that she might be dead or beaten as they saw her motionless however, she was just resting, taking a nap.

The Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus) is one of the two remaining species of monk seal in the Phocid family.

It was once spread all over the coasts of the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and the eastern Atlantic.
