A thirty-year-old man was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment with a three-year suspension from the Autoforo Single-Member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki for the following his 28-year-old ex-partnerafter their breakup.

“We were in a relationship in 2022. We were having problems and I told him to break up. He wouldn’t give me the keys to the house. I told him to come get his things. He tried repeatedly to contact me but I told him that my decision is final.

I was asking him to leave me alone. But he was coming to my house. I told him I would inform the police. On August 18, 2023, I saw him under the house and I filed a complaint.

He rang the bell and went upstairs. I was under a lot of pressure. His behavior was strange. One loved me and one blamed me. I wanted to get rid of this behavior because I had psychological pressure.

He said he would stop bothering me but that lasted a week. Then it continued for 4 months, from May. It has also come to the workplace. He caught me panic attack“, testified the 28-year-old sufferer.

The complainant’s defense testified in court that the 30-year-old sent messages to the 28-year-old and she replied that she did not want any communication with him.

According to his statement, the defendant stated the following:

“I am saddened and saddened by what I hear. I haven’t watched it. I loved and believed it was mutual. Because I had a romantic disappointment, so I was going to make her come back? I went to her work once to talk. Not to convince her, I wanted to plead with her.

When she told me she didn’t want me to text her, I stopped. At first he was telling me that I don’t know if I have the strength to continue. I understood that he doesn’t want to. It’s a human emotion. Don’t tell the person you lived with? I was texting. I never threatened her. I never scared her. He never told me about panic attacks.”

The defendant was found guilty of threatening to follow while on appeal which had a stay of execution effect.
