A video in which hooded men can be seen attacking has been circulating the internet for the past few hours to a foreign homeless person who sleeps outside a shop in Limassol which they then consign to the flames.

As seen in the video, the foreigner is sleeping outside the store when a group of hooded men approach him, throw objects at him and beat him, while others throw Molotov cocktails into the store and run away.

Note that the authenticity of the video still not confirmed.

“Only disgust one might feel watching these brazen hoodlums strike a defenseless man” the mayor of Limassol, Nikos Nicolaidis, told SIGMA, talking about the video.

“These are not the images we want to see, this is not the Limassol of hospitality, progress, culture. These extreme criminals have unfortunately been let loose in recent times and are proceeding with such criminal activities. We ask for the obvious, that the responsible classes ensure public order and the safety of the citizens,” he said.

It is recalled that the Cypriot police proceeded in the arrest of a total of 13 persons for the incidents that occurred on Friday night in Limassol. Today, Saturday, the arrested were brought before a court and placed in four-day detention. Among those arrested are a prisoner who was wearing a wristband and the organizer of the demonstration.
