In particular, an Open Sea Vessel LS-EL.AKT., being on a scheduled patrol, spotted an inflatable dinghy, with thirty-seven (37) passengers, whom it rounded up safely and transported them to the port of Mytilene. They were then handed over to Security officers of the relevant Port Authority and transferred to the K.Y.T. Quarantine area. “Montenegro”.

The second announcement from the Coast Guard:

Early morning hours today, Patrol Vessel LS-EL.AKT. which was on a scheduled patrol, located in the sea area ¨Tarti¨ southeast of Agrielia n. Lesvos, an inflatable boat, with a sufficient number of foreigners on board.

At the sight of the patrol vessel LS-EL.AKT., the occupants proceeded to destroy its air chambers, resulting in their falling into the sea.

Immediately the crew of the LS-EL.AKT Patrol Vessel. carried out the safe collection and rescue of twenty-one (21) foreigners, who were transported to the port of Mytilene and then to the K.Y.T. quarantine area.
