He emphasized, however, that “the new outbreak that has existed in the last few hours in Lefkimmi and Provatona has been dealt with”.
As Mr. Artopioos reported, “while the forces were operating with a focus north of Dadia and Kornofolia, a new front emerged 25 kilometers away.”
At the same time, he described 112 as a “lifesaver”, which, as he pointed out, “is often maligned”.

On Saturday afternoon, a new message was sent through 112 to residents to evacuate the area and head to Tychero Evros.
