The heavy rains and storms caused by bad weather Daniel from Monday 04/09, according to the latest available forecast data of the National Observatory of Athens / Meteo.gr, will continue until Thursday 07/09 at noon, mainly in central and southern continental parts.

For the two days of Wednesday 06/09 and Thursday 07/09, the very high levels of rain that are expected will have a cumulative effect on the already saturated ground, intensifying the problems from the flooding episodes.

According to the updated map, the areas that will receive very high amounts of rain on Wednesday and Thursday are:
- Thessaly (Magnesia, Karditsa, southern parts of Trikala Prefecture)
- Sporades
- Eastern Sterea (Fthiotida, locally in Boeotia)
- Eastern Peloponnese (Western Corinth, Argolis, Eastern Arcadia)

According to the classification of the precipitation episode (RPI), which is applied by the Meteo unit of the National Observatory of Athens, the precipitation episode on Wednesday 06/09 remains in Category 5 (Extreme).
