Due to a traffic ban by the Authorities – Bus connections for trains 60 and 61 will not take place
There will be no bus connections for trains 60 and 61 due to a traffic ban by the Authorities. Trains will return to their starting point. In addition, one of the six buses that ran the route of train 53 in the Larissa-Lianokladi section, returned to Larissa, by order of the Authorities.
How itineraries are configured
Due to forecasts for severe weather to persist and worsenof the suspension of rail traffic between Leianokladi – Larissa and the restrictions on movement on the National Highway (stoppage of traffic at the height of Larissa), Intercity trains from 15:00 today and until later, will run as follows:
The trains from Athens (54 & 56) will have their final destination Leianokladi and then return to Athens. Accordingly, trains from Thessaloniki (55, 57) will have their final destination in Larissa and then return to Thessaloniki.
The Lianokladi – Larisa – Lianokladi section will not be served by buses.
“We are monitoring the phenomenon and the traffic regulations on the road network, as announced by the competent authorities, and we will come back with a newer announcement. We thank the traveling public for their understanding. Safety is a priority,” Hellenic Train said in a related announcement.
