It is worth noting that the body of 36-year-old Antonis was transported yesterday, Thursday, September 7, by ship from the port of Piraeus to Heraklion, where the funeral will take place. As is known, the funeral service will be chanted at the Holy Church of Evangelistria in Agios Nikolaos at 12 noon. The body of 36-year-old Antonis will be in the Holy Church from 11 am.

The sister of 36-year-old Antonis also appeared devastated in an interview, stressing that what he wants is for the guilty to “rot in prison”. Mrs. Irini Kargioti, as well as the friends and relatives of the deceased Antonis, demand the exemplary punishment of all those responsible for this tragedy-murder. In fact, she described her brother as a smiling, optimistic, persistent and hard-working person who always stood by his family so that no one lacked anything.
As has become known, tomorrow, Saturday September 9, the 4 defendants, members of the Blue Horizon crew, will apologize to the prosecutor for the murder of 36-year-old Antonis. On Wednesday, they were charged with serious criminal charges. The man from the crew who pushed the 36-year-old man was prosecuted for manslaughter with probable cause and dangerous interference with maritime traffic. The two other members of the crew were charged with complicity in the possible intentional homicide, while the ship’s captain was charged with dangerous interference with maritime traffic, an offense also punishable as a felony.
