The civilians who have been freed so far, by Armed Forces personnel, in the areas affected by the bad weather amount to 1,602.

Of these, 319 were freed by Army General Staff personnel, 39 by Navy General Staff personnel, 58 by Air Force General Staff personnel, while 1186 civilians were freed by personnel of the Special Warfare Command of the National Defense General Staff.

The Armed Forces are assisting with 448 people including:

– 2 Companies of the 7th MAK with appropriate rescue equipment and climbing materials, night binoculars, drone, complete C2 materials, with the possibility of day and night operations.

– 42 people of the 32nd Infantry Brigade.

– 1 Emergency Company of the “Xenokratis” plan with 71 people.

– 36 people in addition to those provided for in the “Xenocratis” plan in immediate readiness for intervention where required.

– 68 people of the 34th Motorized Brigade in Agia Triada Karditsa and Agia Kyriaki Trikala and 19 people of the XXIV Armored Brigade in Palamas Karditsa.

– 16 people from the Special Disaster Response Department (SDR).

For the release of citizens have been allocated:

● 24 M113 Crawler Personnel Carrier Vehicles.

● 14 special Hummer vehicles.

● 53 general purpose vehicles.

● 4 buses.

● 3 Mini Buses.

● 2 ambulances.

● 14 Engineer machines.

● 4 mounted vehicles

● 12 tank carriers.

● 66 boats.

● 6 Bridge Pair Transport vehicles and 6 LCB type boats.

Also, 2 two Power Generators of 300 and 550 kVA have been allocated in Larissa to cover the needs of the Larissa General Hospital, 400 blankets for the Sofades of Karditsa, 400 blankets for Itea Karditsa, 200 blankets for Farkadona Trikala, 40 blankets for Palamas Karditsa , 400 blankets for the municipality of Karditsa, 400 mattresses for the Municipality of Karditsa, 210 campaign ranches, while accommodation areas for the affected have also been allocated.

Also, a Bailey bridge has been installed in Kala Nera Volos, while corresponding bridges are ready to be installed in Stournareika, Trikala and Mouzaki, Karditsa, by levels of the Research and Construction Unit (MOMKA) of GETHA.

A frigate and a tanker are in the Pagasitic Gulf.

They operate 5 Search and Rescue helicopters, 2 CH-47D CHINOOK helicopters and 3 UH-1H helicopters.

Four helicopters and a C-130 transport aircraft are on standby within one hour, while a Navy fast transport ship is on standby within four hours to accommodate the evacuees.

In addition, 62 buses, 15 minibuses, 19 Engineer machines, 121 general purpose vehicles, Bailey bridges to be placed where required, 932 people of the “Xenokratis” plan in the areas of responsibility of ASDYS and the 1st Army, 60 people of “Deucalion” are on hand on standby for two hours, 181 people of the Emergency Assistance Force (EDSEA) as well as suitable accommodation areas for flood-affected citizens within the camps of the wider affected area.
