350 rescues have been carried out by ground and air forces from 7 in the morning until a little while ago, as emphasized by the Fire Department’s press representative, Deputy Fire Chief John the Bakerin an emergency update made by the operational center of the Fire and Civil Protection in Thessaly.

In total, as Mr. Artophios pointed out, from 7 am on Tuesday (5/9) to 7 am on Saturday (9/9) 2806 rescues of citizens have been carried out while 7700 incidents have been recorded.

At the same time, its press representative Fire department he underlined that the operations with helicopters and watercraft for the rescue of citizens as well as with drones for the provision of food, water, bedding and medical equipment, where there is no ease of access, are continuous and uninterrupted.

In addition, Mr. Artophios emphasized that in the last hours the Pinios river is overflowing in the lower altitude areas and especially as we approach its mouth and more specifically towards the eastern and southern sides, i.e. the passage to Lake Karla as well as at its northeastern mouth.

For this reason, as he noted, five messages have been issued by 112 and more specifically:

• 14:08 for removal of residents from Omorfochori to Platykambos.

• 15:45 warning message of readiness for the residents of Kato Rapsani, Tempi, Itea, Gonni, Makrychori, Evangelismos.

• 16:02 warning message for the residents of Alexandrini, Paleopyrgos, Messagala, Omolio, Stomio, Kastri-Loutros and Koulouras.

• 16:59 warning message for residents of Rizomylos, Stefanovikio, Armenio, Sotirio, Kokkines, Niki, Achillio, Lofiskos, Kalamaki and Melissa areas.

• 17:18 warning message for the residents of Anagennisi, Melia, Modestos, Prodromos, Glavki, Platykambos, Eleftherio, Dimitra, Neochori, Namata, Kastri, Kato Amygdali.
