The Chamber of Karditsa has created a special information and support department for affected businesses to which businesses can contact the Chamber of Karditsa’s telephone numbers 24410-22301, Georgia Kotroni and Michalitsa Giannakopoulou (09:00 – 17:00) or alternatively to the email info@karditsacci. gr as well as the telephone numbers of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid (213 1331300 / 08:00 – 16:00) or alternatively to the email [email protected]
Who are Eligible (Beneficiaries)
Individuals and legal entities as well as non-profit organizations that carry out business activities and have been affected by the recent floods.
What damages are covered:
Material damages are covered according to the percentage of the damage that will be assessed by the State Aid Committees established by the Region of Thessaly, indicatively:
Assets, such as equipment, raw materials, goods, trucks for public and private use, as well as cars for professional use, means of production and stored products, etc.
Which applications are submitted:
- I submit an online application on the website arogi.gov.gr. The application concerns first aid (subsidy advance)
- I am submitting an application for an autopsy and for a grant from the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection in the Region or the relevant Municipality. A list of damages is attached to the application.
How do I prove the damage?
Supporting documents for the damage assessment by the State Aid Committees
- Business register details at the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE)
- Tax returns and VAT returns.
- Property insurance policy to cover the damage and, in case of non-existence, a responsible declaration of the affected person – and in the case of a non-individual business of the legal representative – regarding the non-existence of an insurance policy.
- Previous year census.
- Asset book.
- Purchase invoices for raw materials, goods, etc. taking into account the sales in the interim period until the occurrence of the divine month.
In case of non-existence of these, they are sought from the suppliers or the warehouse books, etc.
*Invoices for the purchase of mechanical equipment accompanied by a statement indicating the age and condition
of the machine.
- In case of damage to a business car, the vehicle’s insurance policy during the period of theomenia and a copy of the vehicle’s registration license.
- Photographs and other evidence.
- Operating licenses or other licenses.
- Any other evidence in support of the claim and assessment of damages. The competent state aid committee may request additional information.
If I have damaged a building
- I am contacting my Municipality to have the building inspected by the General Directorate for Rehabilitation of the Effects of Natural Disasters (GDAEFK). I am entitled to housing assistance in case of damage to buildings in which I am the owner for their repair or reconstruction. Housing assistance consists of free government aid (80%) and an interest-free loan (20%) with the guarantee of the Greek State, up to a maximum of 150 sq.m. from the total sum of the areas of the company’s properties.
- I am also entitled to housing benefit first aid. Applications will be submitted in the next few days to the arogi.gov.gr platform as long as the autopsy of the GDAEFK has been carried out and the relevant report should have been posted on the platform.
