Two men, 30 and 42 years old, were arrested on Monday afternoon in the area of ​​Agia Varvara, accused of violating the legislation on addictive substances, weapons and violence against employees.

The police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution, following information regarding the action of the defendants in the trafficking of cocaine, raw cannabis and crystal methamphetamine in the area of ​​Agia Varvara, located them and certified their criminal activity.

According to the Police, on Monday afternoon a 20-year-old citizen was found by police in the area of ​​Agia Varvara, in whose possession were found 2 nylon packages containing crystal methamphetamine.

As it was established, he had obtained them earlier from a house in the area of ​​Agia Varvara which was used by the defendants for drug trafficking.

Later, a 27-year-old foreigner was arrested in that house, shortly before he made the purchase of the drugs he had pre-arranged with the traffickers.

Finally, the 30-year-old and the 42-year-old were spotted by the police at a point close to the house, where they were carrying out part of their transactions.

As noted by ELAS, in order to thwart their arrest, the two defendants put up a strong resistance, while the police managed to immobilize and handcuff them.

After a search carried out in the above house in Agia Varvara, the following were found and confiscated:

•23.5 grams cocaine,

•198 grams raw cannabis,

•3.4 grams crystal methamphetamine,


•115 carbine cartridges,

• the sum of 1,965 euros,

• 2 precision electronic scales,

•3 mobile phones,

• video recording device with 3 wall-mounted cameras,

•3 metal spoons and

•numerous nylon packages.

The arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutor.
