The Alcazar is the bridge of… patience – Queues of Larisa residents waiting to be bulldozed
The residents of Larissa are still using their patience today in order to be transported to and from Giannouli through the blocked Piniou bridge, at the height of the Workers’ Housing.
Due to the increased traffic load, the huge backhoe loader got to work again except for the crawler to transport citizens to the opposite side.
Two vans of the Municipality of Larissa also help with transport. The receding of the waters at the beginning of the workers’ housing from Larissa is noticeable, but they remain rapidly at the height of the Sclavenitis supermarkets.
And the problem exists and it is unknown when it will be solved on the spot, as explained in a briefing on Tuesday afternoon by
Municipality of Larissa, stressing that “The situation in the area of the Worker’s Residences of Giannoulis remains unchanged. With its document, the municipal authority informed the coordination of the civil protection of the Government about the urgent need to restore the crossing at the point of stopping the traffic and to deal with the flooding phenomenon in the area of the worker’s houses of Giannoulis as soon as possible before there are problems with the suitability of the houses”.
