A criminal charge of negligent bodily harm was brought
They left 9 year old with disability problems alone for almost four hours inside a bussince they forgot to drop him off.
The case was revealed in her area Thessaloniki and after a complaint by a relative of the minor two people were arrested with the spontaneous procedure: the bus driver and an attendant.
As it became known, the 9-year-old was going to attend an afternoon program at a Children’s Creative Employment Center (KDAP) and for this reason he boarded the bus from his home. In the same vehicle there were other children attending the same program. Arriving at KDAP, the children got off the bus normally, except for the 9-year-old, without anyone noticing. It took almost four hours for the driver on the next shift to realize that the child had been abandoned inside the bus.
After the complaint, police officers of the Directorate of Minors Protection of Thessaloniki arrested the 42-year-old driver and the 23-year-old female companion. They were prosecuted for negligent bodily harm and referred to be tried at the Single-Member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki.
