The water level on the road connecting Larissa with Giannouli has dropped, but movement remains difficult
Two groups of citizens have been gathered since Wednesday morning at the Workers’ Residences of Giannoulis.
One group concerns the citizens who want to cross across to Giannouli with the heavy vehicles that undertook the specific project.
The other group are citizens who want to return, if only for a while, to their apartments in the flooded Workers’ Housing. The water, as can be seen in the photos, remains at least 1.5 meters deep and they are being transported by boats and escorted by EMAK men.
Some return to get medicine, some to see their parents who were left behind. Like Mrs. Euterpi who remained in her apartment and her only concern is that her son does not come to see her as she is afraid of getting hurt during his passage by boat.
At the same time, the water level on the road that connects Larissa with Giannouli has dropped, but movement remains difficult and the anxiety of everyone gathered at the site is when normality will finally return.
