In the triangle Larissa, Karditsa, Trikala all the main roads are open, except for the Trikala-Larissa axis, emphasized a while ago the deputy representative of the Fire Department, Giannis Artopioos, during the emergency briefing from the Operations Coordination Center in Larissa.

In addition, he noted that efforts are being made and electricity is about to be provided to Larissa in the near future.

Regarding the situation in national road of Athens ThessalonikiMr. Artophios stated that it remains closed due to the flooding phenomena of the previous days, while he added that there is also a problem with the railway network.

At the same time, he emphasized that the operational center of the Fire Brigade and Civil Protection has received more than 11,725 ​​calls nationwide with 4,592 rescues and evacuations of our fellow citizens to safe places, of which 807 were carried out by air.

Regarding the situation in the villages of the Thessalian plain, namely Karditsa, Trikala, Palamas, Farkadona, Domokos and Farsala, Mr. Artophios said that the waters are receding and today the road axes are gradually being revealed, while the road has been restored connection with all the villages except Keramidi of the Municipality of Farkadona.

Afterwards, the Fire Department’s press representative emphasized that the residents who requested it have been removed from all the villages, while those who wish to do so remain. In addition, he noted that in all the villages there are and are still operating forces of the Fire Brigade to provide assistance and pumping water, as well as forces of the Army and Volunteer Groups to provide assistance, transport supplies and medical materials where necessary.

A special effort is being made, according to Mr. Artophios, to provide assistance in the mountainous villages of Agrafo, Mouzaki and Kalambaka, where ground and air forces of the P.S. and of GEETHA, which according to the needs of the Civil Protection of the Local Self-Government, act for the transport of supplies, medicines, patients, generators and materials.

Also in the current phase forces of the Fire Brigade, the Army and Volunteer Organizations continue to operate with land and sea vehicles in the areas: Worker’s Residences of Giannoulis Larissa, where the level of the water begins to recede, in the villages of Tempi up to the Delta of Pinios, in Municipality of Killeler and especially in the plain of Lake Karlas.
