He was arrested, today (13/09) in the afternoon in the wider area of Karditsa, in the context of preventive checks to prevent illegal actions against citizens who were affected by the recent bad weather “Daniel”, by police officers of the Police Department of Sofados in cooperation with police officers of the Department of Karditsa Security/O.P.K.E., -1- still a citizenfor theft.
In particular, yesterday (12/09) afternoon in Karditsa, the perpetrator broke a window of a local house and removed -4- men’s watches, electrical tools and clothing.
The arrested person will be prosecuted accordingly.
Earlier it was announced that they were arrested, today (13/09) in the early hours of the morning in Volos and in the wider area of Palamas Karditsa, as part of preventive checks to prevent illegal actions against citizens affected by the recent bad weather “Daniel”. -4- peopleon two separate occasions, for attempted theft and violation of the Arms Act.
In particular, in the first case, police officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team (OPKE) of Volos arrested three people, specifically -2- local men and -1- foreign woman, who traveled by I.X. Passenger car in an abandoned house in the city of Volos, where after breaking into its main entrance, they entered the interior with the aim of removing objects. Various burglary tools were seized from their possession.
In the second case, a citizen was arrested by police officers of the Karditsa Security Department, who was spotted driving a car. Passenger car in the affected areas and during a check carried out inside the vehicle in question, -1- knife and various tools (-1- working flashlight, -1- dog – protractor, -1- portable electric wheel, -1 – portable electric drill driver, -1- portable electric screwdriver and -2- rechargeable batteries.
Those arrested will be prosecuted accordingly.
It is noted that the Greek Police, having as its primary concern the safety of the citizens, continues to assist their needs.
Finally, it should be noted that 24-hour patrols by the officers of the General Regional Police Directorate of Thessaly are carried out with undiminished intensity to protect properties in the affected areas.
