A new postponement for the start of the new school year is recommended by the Medical Association of Magnesia due to the serious problems that have arisen due to the earthquake that hit the prefecture and through an announcement it states that first of all, safe access to schools must be ensured for all students and of course the hygiene and the appropriate drinking water.

In particular, it is stated in the announcement that “after the late and incomplete announcement of DEYAMB, which states that its water is unfit for human use, the Medical Association of Magnesia, for reasons of health safety and prevention, recommends postponing the start of the school year until it is supplied with water the city with water suitable for human use, to clean and disinfect the yards and school buildings and to have easy access to the schools with a clean city without dust and piles of mud”.

As is known, after a one-week postponement, schools of all grades in Magnesia and the rest of Thessaly are scheduled to open next Monday, September 18.
