According to shopkeepers in the area, about 40 young people aged between 15 and 20 years old were injured for an as yet unknown reason.
A fierce fight took place shortly before one in the afternoon on Friday in the center of Lamia and more specifically on Agios Nikolaos Street.
According to local shopkeepers about 40 young people between the ages of 15 and 20 got involved for an as-yet unknown reason resulting in harsh images.
“One of them was put on the ground and they were hitting him with kicks, punches and objects they had in their hands. As soon as the police arrived most of them fled. Only 2-3 remained to give explanations” a resident of the area told lamianow.gr.
The brutal incident took place shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon on Agios Nikolaos Street in the city center and more specifically in the Old Municipal Market. When the police arrived, DIAS teams as well as security and patrol cars, the young men had disappeared into the surrounding alleys.
“We had another episode with young people, two days earlier. With fewer people. Then they shook hands. Now they were holding keys and objects” a local shopkeeper told lamianow.gr.
