The first thing that catches the eye of anyone who enters the apartment at the Sinner hotel (sinner, in English), in Paris, is the bar (which I won’t call mini because that would be an injustice). There it is, beautiful and well lit, in a niche, near the door. Correctly shaped wine glasses, cut crystal drink glasses and crystal highball glasses shine in front of a collection of drinks and spirits in small bottles of various colors and perfect design. In the corner, the cocktail shaker, the bucket and the ice cube tray, all silver and very shiny, reveal that no one is there to play: that bar is for professionals.
Upon opening the refrigerator, the guest soon finds two half bottles of champagne, not just any champagne, half a bottle of Deutz Brut Rosé and half of Bollinger Special Cuvée, two very special champagnes. Next to them, some colorful tubes of poppers (inhaled stimulants often used in gay clubs to increase sexual pleasure). The visitor, who walked through dark corridors to get to the room, then begins to suspect that whoever arranged that scenario is, in fact, an expert in human weaknesses, perhaps a master in the art of provoking temptation.
