The conditions in detail
Those who want on Friday, September 29, to receive the market pass moneytoday is the last day to submit their application.
Conditions for this to happen is:
-Have not received the first Market Pass because those who received the allowance in its first phase and are still eligible do not need to submit a declaration
– Have their tax return cleared
Those who submit their application after the end of today, or whose tax return also clears after today, will receive their money by November 5th.
In both cases, however, the payment will be in one installment and will cover all three months – August, September, October – for which the government extended the measure.
Since the money for a month varies depending on the size of the household from €22 to €100, beneficiaries will receive from €66 to €300 if they choose the digital debit card method. If they choose to deposit into their bank account, they will receive 80% of the aid, €53 to €240.
The platform will remain open until the last day of October. Those who received the first market pass are NOT required to make a new declaration to get the money except to change the way they will receive the money, i.e. if:
They want to get the money from a digital debit card to a bank account or vice versa
They wish to change the bank account to which the money will be deposited, so they must declare a new IBAN.
Beneficiaries are all natural persons regardless of marital status with an income of up to €16,000 for singles, up to €24,000 for married people with an additional €5,000 for each protected member or guest. An asset criterion of €250,000 for the unmarried and €400,000 for the married is also foreseen.
The digital debit card can be used until December 31st, after which it is canceled and the money is lost. For those who had also obtained the market pass1, a new card is not issued, the validity of the one they have is simply extended. New cards are available for new beneficiaries. It goes without saying that there is no time limit for using the money deposited in a bank account.
The market pass – if things had turned out differently – would have received a 2nd extension by the end of the year for the entire population. But the new fiscal reality shaped by the Daniel disaster forced the government to give this second extension only to the residents of the affected areas of Thessaly, Evia and Evros. The allowance will be doubled – that is from €44 to €200 per month depending on the composition of the household – and the benefiting households are estimated at 280,000 to 740,000 members
