For the preparations of legislative interventions to “run” at a faster pace, especially with regard to secondary legislation and provisions or amendments related to the facilitation of the flood victims of Thessaly, requested services and supervised Organizations Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakisin a broad meeting held at the ministry.

According to a statement from the ministry, Mr. Avgenakis reiterated that the priority remains the submission, within the year, of a bill to modernize the regulation ELGA.

During the meeting, the modification of the operating framework of the services and their branches throughout Greece was also discussed, with the aim of their orderly and more efficient operation for farmers.

Mr. Avgenakis pointed out that the procedures should be accelerated so that not a single euro is lost from the Rural Development Program as well as from the Recovery Fund, in order to utilize every available European resource for the relief of the victims of Thessaly.

The deputy ministers participated in the meeting of Agricultural Development and Food, Dionysis Stamenitis and Stavros Keletsisthe general secretaries of the FSA, Giorgos Stratakos, Kostas Baginetas and Dimitris Papagiannidis, the official secretary of the ministry, Manolis Anadranistakis, the presidents of the supervised organizations and the heads of the Ministry’s General Directorates.
