97 new deaths from coronavirus – 11,124 new cases, 571 intubated (tables)

The number of victims of the coronavirus in our country remains high as in the last 24 hours another 97 people lost their lives, according to the information of EODY.

The new laboratory confirmed cases amount to 11,124.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 571.

A total of 177,960 tests were performed (molecular and rapid) and the positivity was 6.25%.

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 11,124, of which 63 were identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 1,920,992 (daily change + 0.6%), of which 49.8% are men.1 Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 436 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,662 are related to already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 97, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 23,372 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 571 (60.6% men). Their median age is 66 years. 84.4% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 451 (78.98%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 120 (21.02%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,034 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 490 (daily change + 14.75%). The average seven-day admission is 442 patients. The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
