All Primary and Secondary Schools will be open from tomorrow, Monday 31 January:
• In the Peripheral Unit of the Central Sector
• In the Peripheral Unit of Piraeus
• In the Regional Unit of Islands
• In the Regional Unit of the Southern Sector
• In the Western sector of Athens
• In the Regional Unit of the Northern Sector all schools will be open with the indication that the schools in the Municipality St. Friday will open at 9 p.m. Only Melissia High School will remain closed as the damage repair work caused by the squatting has not yet been completed.
-In the Regional Unit of West Attica the schools will be open with the exception of those located in Municipality of Vilia and in Municipal Unit of the Reds, which will remain closed as there are still accessibility difficulties for students and teaching staff due to frost.
-In the Regional Unit of Eastern Attica all schools will be open, with the exception of 2 primary schools of Anatoli (N. Makri and Grammatiko), which will open after 10 a.m., following a relevant suggestion by the Mayor of Marathon, in order to complete some cleaning work from broken trees in the schoolyard.
It should be noted that the operation or not of the nurseries is the responsibility of the municipalities which will immediately inform the interested parties.
“Our priority is for the children and teachers to return to their schools in conditions of absolute safety!”, Said the Attica Regional Governor, George Patoulis.
