From 15 years old in addiction, a 30-year-old woman now, whose cocktail of substances she consumes on a daily basis drives her insane.

On Sunday afternoona threatened to cut her mother’s throat, who could not stand the threats and called the police. When the police showed up at the house, she tried to push them away “to go for a walk” as she didn’t realize they were going to arrest her. She realized what was happening when she was taken to the detention center and in her attempt to escape while being handcuffed, she headbutted an officer in the nose.

She remained a prisoner for a day and yesterday she was taken after her mother’s lawsuit to the Autofoto Three-member Criminal Court of Volos.

As the police officers testified, when the young woman was taken to the department, she started cursing and caused the incident with the “bottle” on the police officer, for which the prosecutor ruled that it was not a deliberate attack. The next day, while he was being taken from the detention center for a statement to the duty officer, he tore the policeman’s shirt and, according to his own statement, tried to bite him.

Her mother she testified with tears in her eyes that her child after use is a different person. The beautiful young woman transforms into a “monster”.

“He threatened to slaughter me, to cut my throat. I’m afraid of her. I believe that at some point she is capable of carrying out her threat. My child must be locked up somewhere and detoxified” said the mother and the father of the 30-year-old gave the same testimony.

“She’s good at everything and then she doesn’t remember anything,” her father said.

The 30-year-old woman, who has no other place to live if she leaves her home, takes buprenephrine from OKANA and at the same time uses every substance she can buy. However, the parents stated that they rarely give her money and only for cigarettes.

“I don’t want her to enter our house again, we are afraid of her. She needs to get into a program,” her father said.

“I take drugs and relapse, have psychotic episodes. I understand why my parents are afraid of me but at that time I don’t understand anything and then I don’t remember anything. But I remember that when I went to the department, the police beat and cursed me, they dragged me by the hair down the corridor. I thought they were going to kill me. I heard the insulting comments. I say that I never want to hurt anyone and I hit the policeman in the nose by accident.

For me, the only safe place to live is the detention center, I want to stay there until they take me to a closed program of KETHEA”, said the 30-year-old tearfully. As it turned out, he was in detention for a month and a half, after a theft, but returned to use.

The young woman, who showed no signs of collapse from use, stated that she is trying but is constantly defeated by her illness.

The prosecutor proposed that the charge of grievous bodily harm against the police officers be reduced to simple bodily harm and for the charges of threatening and insulting he was given a 12-month suspended sentence.
