A case of abduction of a foreigner, which was committed in the early hours of Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the area of ​​Argyroupoli Attica, by the Security Sub-Directorate of Southeastern Attica, was solved.

For the case, 3 of his compatriots are accused of kidnapping and bodily harm by complicity, as well as of violating the legislation on weapons, while relevant arrest warrants were also issued against them.

In particular, as emerged from the investigation, the defendants with whom the victim maintained a friendly relationship, from the beginning of this month demanded the payment of the amount of -300,000- Turkish pounds (approximately 8,000 euros), which a friend of his owed them due to a sale car. At the same time, they threatened him that in case of non-payment of the due amount of money they would cause him serious bodily harm and then proceeded to grab him.

The victim, however, managed to escape on the way and after an investigation by the police of the Southeastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate, he was found on Monday, September 18, 2023, at noon in the area of ​​Pagrati.

This was followed by intensive investigations by the Security Sub-Directorate of Southeastern Attica in the context of which yesterday, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at noon in the area of ​​Keratea, one of the perpetrators was found riding in the vehicle in which the robbery was committed and he was arrested.

In a physical search carried out and in a search of the above vehicle, which was confiscated as a means of carrying out the robbery, the sum of -1,500- euros, -2- mobile phone devices, as well as documents of the wanted person, owner of the car, were found and confiscated .

The arrested person is taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
