Bad weather Daniel had significantly affected the Municipality of South Pelion, with the officials of the Municipality from midday on Wednesday 27/09 speaking of a borderline situation regarding various areas, due to the new Elias wave.

According to the deputy mayor of South Pelion, Dimitris Rammatas, the streams and rivers have swelled again, after the heavy rain that broke out in the area after noon.

He mentioned in his communication with Magnesia that especially in Horto and Platania the situation is borderline, there are issues again in Milina, while it was positive that the rainfall was limited somewhat in the early afternoon, but also waiting for the conditions that will prevail in the evening .

“We have machines from the Region and the Municipality, but also leased throughout the Municipality. At the moment, a machine is operating in the side drainage ditch of Horto, because there was a problem with materials carried by the water”, he noted, while there was no significant problem with the electricity supply, with Horto, however, being left without electricity and a DEDDIE crew heading to the area.
