10,495 calls have been received in the Region of Thessaly by the Operations Center of the Fire Brigade from Tuesday, September 5 until today at 6 pm.

At the same time, the Operations Center due to the bad weather “Elias” has received from this morning until 6 pm 168 calls in the region of Central Greece, of which 125 were from Evia.

In particular, the The Operations Center of the Fire Brigade received calls mainly for pumping water in areas of the country due to the occurrence of heavy rainfall.

Specifically:

– In the Region of Thessalyfrom Tuesday, September 5 to today at 18:00, received 10,495 calls and so far 3,715 water pumps have been carried out, while 3,577 people have been moved to safe places.

– In the Peloponnese Region, pthe Regional Unit of Corinth, from the afternoon of Monday September 25 to today at 18:00, it received 77 calls, of which, 29 for pumping water, three for cutting trees and two transporting people to safe places.

-In the Region of Western Greece, in the Regional Unit of Achaia, since the morning hours today he received 15 calls, of which 12 were for water pumping and four for tree cutting.

–In the Region of Central Greece since morning hours today received 168 calls as follows::

in Evia 125 calls, of which 50 for water pumping, 13 for cutting trees and 8 for transporting people to safe places.

in Fthiotida nine calls, of which one for pumping water and five for cutting trees

in Viotia 30 calls, of which 18 for water pumping and six for cutting trees

in Fokida two calls for water pumping

in Evrytania two calls, of which one for pumping water and one for cutting a tree.

– In the Attica Region, since the morning hours today, he received 70 calls, of which 49 were for pumping water, 17 for cutting trees and four for transporting people to safe places.

It is noted that according to the updated Emergency Bulletin of Dangerous Weather Phenomena (EDEKF) issued today by the National Meteorological Service (EMY), the severe weather system Elias will continue to affect areas of the country with heavy rains and storms, which will be accompanied by hail and high frequency of lightning.
