In the last 24 hours, 1,144 water samples have been taken in Thessaly.

The changes presented today are:

• In the Municipality of Volos: The water is considered suitable for the Alykes and the local communities of Anakasia, Agios Onofrios, Ano Volos, Portaria, Allis Meria, Katochori, Stagiaton and Phytoko.

• In the Municipality of Palamas: The water is considered suitable for the local communities of Markos, Gorgovita, Proastiou, Kalogriana, Agia Triada and Pedinou.

• In the Municipality of Tempo: The water is considered suitable for the local communities of Sykouri, Nesssonos, Ossis, Pournario and Parapotamos, as well as for the settlements of Kalochori and Gonnon.

• In the Municipality of Alonissos: The water is deemed suitable for the entire Municipality.

Apart from the changes in the Municipalities of Volos, Palamas, Tempo and Alonissos with the highlighted footnotes, there are no other changes in the water supply networks and what has been mentioned in a previous update applies.

It is pointed out that if the water is deemed unfit for human use, it automatically means that the water is not potable and cannot be used for cooking, food or drink production, washing vegetables and personal hygiene (washing hands, etc.). In these cases, it is recommended to boil the water for 1-3 minutes. In case of turbidity of the water, it is recommended to filter the water before boiling (e.g. with cloth clothes, coffee filters).
