The 28-year-old man from Turkey, who had found political asylum in Greece, had an active role in the preparatory actions that led to the execution.
Authorities are looking for an additional unidentified person whose involvement has been confirmed by witnesses and visual material. The main organizer of the execution was 32-year-old Sulleyman, who was arrested at the airport shortly after the incident.
The man was a Trojan horse, as he pretended to be the accomplice of the victims, but he was the one who set them up.
As Constantia Dimoglidou explained, the 32-year-old – who also belonged to the environment of the organization – had a central role in the planning and execution of the murder after he had undertaken the transfer of them from their country of origin to the country of destination, through Greece, supplying them with fake identity cards as well as fake boarding passes, while at the same time, he drove them to accommodation in Artemisa under the pretense of being near the airport.
Regarding the motives of the murderous attack, it was confirmed that it was about settling accounts between criminal groups from Turkey.
