It will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, February 1, by decision of the Governor of Attica G. Patoulis and after relevant consultation with the Mayors of Attica, the Primary and Secondary Education schools in Attica, with the exception of some areas where there are still access difficulties.
Particularly:
All Primary and Secondary Schools will be open:
• In the Peripheral Unit of the Central Sector
• In the Peripheral Unit of Piraeus
• In the Regional Unit of Islands
• In the Regional Unit of the Southern Sector
• In the Western sector of Athens
• In the Regional Unit of Eastern Attica
– In the Northern Sector Regional Unit all schools will be open, with the exception of the 2nd High School of Agia Paraskevi which will not operate for life due to building problems and Melission High School, which will remain closed as the restoration work of the damage caused by the squatting has not yet been completed.
– In the Peripheral Unit of West Attica, schools will be open with the exception of those located in Villas and in Municipal Unit of the Reds, which will remain closed as there are still accessibility difficulties for students and teaching staff due to frost. A relevant decision has already been issued by Mayor Ch. Stathis.
It should be noted that the operation or not of the nurseries is the responsibility of the municipalities which will immediately inform the interested parties.
Mr. Patoulis pointed out in this regard: “In the areas where there are still problems following the relevant suggestions of the relevant Mayors, some schools will remain closed. “Defending the safety of children and teachers is non-negotiable for us.”
