The intense dissatisfaction of the citizens for “Elpis” bad weather management captures the new big poll of SKAI and Pulse presented in the main news bulletin with Sia Kosioni.
When asked how well the state handled the recent bad weather, 72% of the sample answered little to nothing. Analytically, 59% said “little to no”, 13% “little”, 16% moderate, while 5% said “I do not know-I do not answer”. On the contrary, only 7% were satisfied with the management of “Elpida” (2% “a lot” and 5% “enough”).

In fact, this dissatisfaction concerns all the regions of the country that have been affected by the bad weather.
Specifically, 72% of respondents living in the Attica region said “a little, little to no” satisfied, 18% “moderate”, 6% “quite a lot” and 4% “I do not know – I do not answer.”
In the rest of Greece, the dissatisfaction rate rose to 71%, while 15% appeared moderately satisfied, 8% quite to the extent and 6% avoided answering.
At the same time, their concern about price increases in electricity, heating and food expressed households.
“Headache” for 46% of the sample are the costs for electricity, followed by 26% heating and 9% food, while a percentage of 11% answered something else and 8% avoided saying.
In fact, concerns about rising costs are pervasive in all walks of life.
In the whole sample with “comfortable or very comfortable” financial situation, 46% state that they are concerned about electricity, 35% about heating, 10% about something else and 3% about food.
Of those in moderate financial condition, 49% are worried about electricity prices, 29% about heating, 10% about food and 8% about other expenses.
Respondents in difficult or very difficult financial situation, 48% answered that they are worried about electricity, 19% about heating, 16% about something else and 13% about food.
About restrictions measures against coronavirus, 62% of respondents are against relaxation and only half (31%) say they need to become more lenient.
Analytically, when asked if now is the right time to relax the measures against the coronavirus, 39% answered “probably no”, 23% “definitely not”, 18% said “probably yes”, 13% definitely yes “and 7%” DG / DA “.
In particular, 75% of retirees are against relaxation compared to 20% who are in favor.
In the public sector, 68% do not agree with milder measures compared to 28% who have the opposite view.
60% of entrepreneurs-professionals say no to the relaxation of measures compared to 34% who believe that the time has come.
In the private sector, 52% of employees believe that this is not the right time and 42% that they need to relax.
Regarding the armament program of Greece, about 6 out of 10 participants (59%) in the poll agree with the recent orders and purchases of equipment (eg Rafale) to strengthen the country’s defense capacity against 35% who disagree and a percentage of 6% denoting “DG / DA”.
Analytically, 41% say “definitely agree”, 18% “probably agree”, 21% “definitely disagree” and 14% “probably disagree”.
In terms of electoral behavior, the vast majority (81%) of ND voters agree with the strengthening of the country’s defense capacity against 14% who disagree.
On the contrary, among SYRIZA voters, only 36% are in favor of the armaments market against 59% against, while the picture is similar for those who voted for the KKE in 2019 with the percentage being 23% and 75% respectively.
87% of KINAL voters express their support for the country’s defense support, compared to 9% who do not agree with it.
The identity of the research
Pulse’s research is nationwide and was done by phone using a structured electronic questionnaire. The data collection period of the first survey was January 22-24, 2022 and was conducted on a sample of 1,504 adults, while the second survey was conducted between January 26-29, 2022 and was attended by 1,308 adults.
