The resignation of the commander of e-EFKA, Panagiotis Doufexisrequested and received today, Friday October 6, 2023, by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Adonis Georgiades.

As stated in a relevant announcement, Mr. Doufexis “served the state conscientiously and achieved significant results in the progress of EFKA”.

In the new era of the completion of the digital transformation of the e-EFKA, by decision of the minister, a new commander takes over the previously first deputy commander of the e-EFKA, Alexander Varveris.

The position of the first deputy commander of e-EFKA is assumed by the former General Secretary of Social Security, Panagiotis Kokkoris.

Mr. Georgiadis, after thanking Mr. Doufexis for his good services, wished the new management of e-EFKA a good career.

Biography of Alexandros Varveris

THE Alexander Varveris appointed, on 02.06.2021, as First Deputy Director of the Unified Social Security Agency (e-EF.KA.) member of the Temporary Steering Committee of the Auxiliary Capitalization Insurance Fund (TEKA).

He holds a) degrees in Informatics and Electronic Engineering, b) a Master’s Degree specializing in “Information Science” and c) a PhD in Law in Athens with the thesis title “The supranational validity of the notarial deed [Ασφαλής ανταλλαγή πληροφοριών μεταξύ φορέων του Δημοσίου διαφορετικών κρατών]”.

From 1998 until today he is a member of the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Deputy Director of the Legal Informatics Laboratory. In the context of his above duties, he conducts IT seminars and teaches digital libraries to students.

From the year 2006 to the year 2011, he worked as a laboratory associate in the Department of Librarianship of the School of Management and Economics of the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, where he taught digital libraries and databases.

For more than 10 years he has collaborated with the “International Commission on Personal Status” (Commission Internationale de l’État Civil or CIEC) with the object of the electronic integration of the registries of the member states. Furthermore, he has served as technical director of the CIEC expert group.

During the years 2012-2014 he worked as a scientific associate in the project for the secure exchange of personal data of the Ministry of the Interior of Argentina.

He worked at the National Natural Sciences Research Center “Demokritos” in Athens, participating in various European programs related to data security, e-learning, e-government, e-health, cultural heritage and culture.

He has produced studies and publications in the field of data exchange in the aforementioned areas. In particular, in terms of electronic data exchange, he participated as a speaker in conferences and workshops both in Greece and abroad.

Biography of Panagiotis Kokkoris

THE Panagiotis Kokkoris studied economics at the Higher Industrial School and completed post-graduate studies (MBA) in Business Administration and Post-graduate seminars in business auditing (S.O.L.).

He has been trained in the subjects of Leadership in Public Administration, Strategy & Leadership, Communication & Conflict Management, Efficiency & Evaluation of administrative processes, Municipalities’ revenues, International Management Accounting Standards, Contemporary trends and perspectives in e-learning, Training of newly transferred inspectors, the Audit of the assets of civil servants and Crisis Management and has successfully attended the program of the National School of Government in London of the Ministry of Civil Servants Training. of Finance of the E.K.D.D. on the topic of “Top Management”.

He worked in the private sector as an Accountant – Tax Technician, head of accounting, business financial advisor and member of S.O.L. and in the Public Sector as a Fiscal-Comptroller and Inspector of the Ministry. Finance.

He taught in the capacity of a professor at ELKEPA in specialized Training Programs for Tax Technicians, in Training Programs for Tax Officers of the Training and Studies Center of Northern Greece, as well as in Professional Training Programs for graduate economists of the OEE.

He has been a lecturer on tax policy issues at the Athens University of Applied Sciences, income tax issues in Master’s Programs at the University of Macedonia, in a Pan-European economic forum, as well as in numerous tax and economic conferences and seminars.

He was also Chairman of a committee of the OEE for the preparation of a study on “Tax Evasion – Shadow Economy – Upcoming Tax Reforms”.

He served – from July 2012 to December 2014 – as Secretary General in the General Secretariat of Social Insurance of the Ministry of Labor, Social Insurance and Welfare.

By decision of the President of New Democracy Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis on March 11, 2016, an adviser to the President on pension-insurance issues is appointed.

He was a candidate for parliament with the ND party in the A electoral district of Thessaloniki.
