After the new football stadium in Papagou, which was modernized with funding from the Region, amounting to around 800,000 euros and handed over to the citizens a few days ago, yesterday the new football field in Cholargo was inaugurated by the regional governor Giorgos Patoulis and the mayor H. Apostolopoulos.
The upgrade of the field was carried out with funding of 902,286 euros from the Region and the work involved the installation of a new synthetic turf and a pumping system for its maintenance, as well as sports-urban equipment.
Present at the opening ceremony were the deputy mayors of the municipality, as well as the children of the football team of Cholargo.
Mayor H. Apostolopoulos thanked Mr. Patoulis for his support, because during his term “important projects were carried out that changed the face of Attica“, as he said.
In his statements, the regional governor G. Patoulis, referring to the new stadiums, pointed out among other things: “These are two sports infrastructures, critical for the city, which were implemented with funding from the Region in the context of the priority it gives to investing in projects with a strong sports sign”.
In conclusion, Mr. Patoulis thanked the mayor H. Apostolopoulos “for the very constructive cooperation, the result of which are projects that contribute to the development and upgrading of the quality of life of its citizens”.
