Almost half of the companies checked were found to be in violation – From the checks on 10,359 workers, it was found that 103 had not been declared while 1,338 were found to have violated working hours
A total of 1,313 businesses were auditedn, of which 583 (at a rate of 44.4%) were found to be in violation, in the context of a special action of targeted controls of the Labor Inspectorate, through the risk analysis system of the “ERGANI” Information System, between July and August 2023.
The audits concerned, among other things, for undeclared work, time limits, accrued wages to 10,359 workersof which 1,729 were affected.
From them, 103 were identified as undeclared, 1,338 for violating work time limits and 288 for other violations. 750 fines were imposed, amounting to 3,487,560 euros.
In total, during the two months of July-August 2023, 6,560 inspections were carried out by the Labor Relations Inspectors and fines of 6,611,783 euros were imposed.
As stated in a relevant announcement, the high delinquency rate (44.4%) of the selected companies shows that the data analysis, through the risk analysis works very efficiently, given that, from the data of previous years, it appears that the business delinquency is at 25%.
It is also worth noting that, during the specific two months, in the total audit activity, 186 undeclared workers were identified, of which 103 emerged through the targeted audits of the special action.
