Six shell casings from a nine-gun weapon were found in Zefyri, after the fight last night between Roma, during which shots were fired resulting in the fatal injury of an 8-year-old child.
The eight-year-old was taken to “Aglaia Kyriakou” hospital, where he died a short time later.
The casings have been sent to forensic laboratories for further examination and to determine if they are related to the child’s fatal injury.
The perpetrators, who are estimated to be two, are being sought.
ELAN PASSE issued a statement about the tragic incident, in which it states: “The Panhellenic Confederation of Roma Greeks HELLAN PASSE expresses its
deep sadness and her disgust for the tragic event in Zefyri, which claimed the life of an 8-year-old child.
Such incidents like any practice outside the law are condemnable and will always find us diametrically opposed and opposed.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and relatives of the child.”
