The heavy snowfalls that occur from noon in several areas of Western Macedonia affect the smooth operation of schools and the movement of vehicles on the national and provincial network.
Thus, with the decision of the mayor of Grevena, George Dastamanis, tomorrow Wednesday, February 2, all primary and secondary schools will be closed while the kindergartens will operate normally to facilitate working parents.
Also in the Kastoria PE and in the municipalities of Kastoria, Argos Orestiko and Nestori the schools will remain closed.
In the PE of Florina and in the municipalities of Prespa, Florina and Amyntaio the schools will not operate.
In the prefecture of Kozani and in the municipalities of Kozani and Eordea the classes will start at 9.15 while the schools in the municipality of Voi will remain closed.
Regarding the movement of vehicles on the axis of the Egnatia Odos, the Police Directorate of Grevena recently banned the movement of trucks over 3.5 tons, from the junction of Venetiko to the junction of Panagia Grevena.
