Two civil servants were caught in her “tweezers”. National Transparency Authorityas the verification of Pothen Esche’s statements revealed that they maintained “inflated” bank accounts that were not covered by their incomes.

– In the bank accounts of a ministry employee and his wife, deposits other than salary and interest totaling 193,000 euros were found, which were not justified by legitimate and visible income. It was also established that the employee’s family expenses for five years were not covered by his family incomes for a total amount of 147,000 euros, of unknown origin.

The relevant reports were forwarded to the competent prosecuting authority, to the disciplinary supervisor for disciplinary action, to the General Commissioner of the State at the Court of Audit for the attribution of unjustified gains and to the competent DOU for the actions of its competence.
