Autopsy the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias, accompanied by the general secretary, Vassilis Papageorgiou, and engineers of the ministry, is carrying out from early in the morning in the streams of Aspropyrgos and Mandra.

Mr. Kikilias performed an autopsy in order to inspect the situation in the streams of Aspropyrgos and Mandras, in order to determine what measures need to be taken, as these are two high-risk areas for flooding.

“As we all know, Aspropyrgos and Mandra are two areas of high risk for flooding. We have streams where projects are already being carried out, but we also have places where there are problems and in case of heavy rainfall we must be operationally ready. The mountains in the area have been devastated by fires, so the risk of flooding is increasing, and we are here to assess the overall situation and act accordingly,” said the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias.

“I will say again for those hypocritically pretending that they do not understand the measures we have already taken for Kifissos in view of the winter, that our duty is to protect the citizens. And protection without preventive measures and projects does not exist. And where these get stuck in bureaucratic procedures of months or even years, they are our obligation to provide practical solutions, not to look on apathetically“, noted Mr. Kikilias.
