By posting on social media, Giannis Theocharopoulos breaks his silence and recounts what he tragically experienced in his attempt to save his 21-year-old son Hermes who was killed a few days ago in Tzoumerka.
Mr. Theocharopoulos points out the long delay of the air means, something that the young climber’s sister had also complained about.
It is recalled that the Hermes Theocharopoulos, 21 years old, was skiing and sliding in an inaccessible ravine. An operation was immediately set up to locate and rescue him.
“My dad, he shouted at me and got up when I got to him, at 13:40, half an hour after he fell, but he could not get up. Do not shake my boy everything will be fine, I told him. I begged on the phone talking to the policeman for a helicopter to come immediately because he needed an intubation immediately. I have been notified by 112 of your location in 10 minutes a helicopter will arrive, I was told. Police, please, every minute counts, I told him and I added that I can not take him in the back, he has many fractures and maybe internal bleeding will die in my back. “Giannis will come in 10-15 minutes, everyone knows, do not move,” he said, among other things.
