Detailed regulations from the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate
The traffic regulations that will be implemented in the central Municipality of Thessaloniki in the context of the celebration of the patron saint Agios Dimitrios and the National Anniversary of October 28 were announced by the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate.
Specifically :
On Tuesday (24-10-2023):
(1) During the hours 07.30 – 16.00, due to the General Test Parade of the Motorized Divisions, the traffic of all vehicles will be suspended in the E.O. (Profiti Ilias Street) until the Rysiou Flyover in both traffic streams.
(2) The movement of all vehicles will be conducted as follows:
(a) Those moving from Thessaloniki to N. Moudania: E.O.Thess/Nikis-N.Moudanion, New Thermi Bridge, Profiti Ilias, E.O.Thess/Nikis-N.Michanionas, intersection N.Rysiou, to N.Ryssio, N.Ryssio Bridge, EO Thes/nikis-N.Moudanion.
(b) Of those moving from N. Moudania to Thessaloniki: E.O. Thes/nikis-N.Moudanion, Aerogefyra N.Rysiou, to N.Rysio, E.O.Thes/nikis-N.Michanionas, Profiti Ilias, Nea Thermi flyover, Thessaloniki-N.Moudanion.
On Wednesday (25-10-2023):
(1) From 05:00 to 13:30, during the procession of the icons of Agios Dimitrios and Panagia “Koroniotissis”, the stopping and parking of all vehicles, where this is permitted, will be prohibited on the following streets, by the which the procession will pass through:
Ag. Dimitriou, in its section from I. Dragoumi Street to Platonos Street.
Venizelou, in its section from Ag.Dimitriou street to Olympou street.
Olympus, in its section from Venizelou Street to Peloponnisos Street.
Peloponnese, along its entire length.
Seleucus, along its entire length.
(2) From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., during the procession of the icons of Agios Dimitrios and Panagia “Koroniotissis”, the traffic of all vehicles will not be allowed on the following streets, through which the procession will pass:
St. Dimitriou, in its section from Venizelou Street to Platonos Street.
Venizelou, in its section from St. Dimitriou to Olympou Street.
Olympus, in its section from Venizelou Street to Peloponnisos Street.
Peloponnese, along its entire length.
On Thursday (26-10-2023):
(1) From 05.00 to 13.30, during the praise to I.N. Agios Dimitrios, the stopping and parking of all vehicles, where this is permitted, will be prohibited on the following streets,
Ag. Dimitriou, in its section from Souri Street to Peloponnisou Street.
Kassandros, in its section from Agios Nikolaou Street to the street
of Macedonian Defense.
Macedonian Defense, in its section from Kassandrou Street to Agios Dimitriou Street.
Seleucus, along its entire length.
Aristotelous, in its section from Agios Dimitriou Street to Olympou Street.
(2) From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., during the eulogy to I.N. Agios Dimitrios, all vehicles will not be allowed to travel on St. Ag. Dimitriou, in its section from Lagada Street to Agios Nikolaou Street.
On Friday (27-10-2023):
From 10:30 a.m. until the end of the student parade events, all vehicles will not be allowed to travel on the following roads:
Tsimiski, in its section from X.A.N.Th square. until I.Dragoumi street.
Pavlou Mela, in its section from L. Pyrgou square to Tsimiski street.
In all the vertical streets of the specific sections of the above streets.
On Saturday (28-10-2023):
(1) From 03.00 and until the end of the parade, the start of which will take place at 11.00 on the same day, the stopping and parking, where this is permitted, of all vehicles on the following streets of the city will be prohibited:
Agia Triados, in its section from Avenue M. Alexandrou to Vas. Georgiou Street
Alexander the Great Avenue.
G.Papandreou, in the section from M.Alexandrou to Mitr.Kidonion Street.
October 30, throughout.
M.Botsari, March 25th, P.Syndika, Paraskevopoulos, Hatzi, October 28th, in their sections from Vas. Olgas Avenue to Megalou Alexandrou Avenue.
Pavlou Mela, in its section from L. Pyrgou square to Tsimiski street.
September 3rd, in its section from M. Alexandrou Avenue to L. Stratou.
Str. Naples. Zerva, along its entire length.
National Amynis, in its section from Tsimiski Street to Nikis Street.
Gyzi, along its entire length.
National Resistance (Kalamaria Municipality), in the section from Red Cross to Aegean.
(2) From 05.00 and until the end of the parade, due to the line-up of the motorized sections, the traffic of all vehicles will not be allowed on the following streets of the city:
Alexander the Great Avenue.
G.Papandreou, in the section from M.Alexandrou to Mitr.Kidonion Street.
October 30, throughout.
(3) From 07:00 a.m. until the end of the parade, all vehicles will not be allowed to travel on the following streets of the city:
M. Botsari – Karaiskaki – Kallidopoulou, March 25th, P. Syndika, Paraskevopoulou, Hatzi, October 28th, in their sections from Vass. Olgas Avenue to Megalou Alexandrou Avenue.
General Kakavos.
Pavlou Mela, in its section from L. Pyrgou square to Tsimiski street.
Soulioti, in its section from Kallidopoulou to Str. Kakavou Street.
National Amynis, in its section from Tsimiski Street to Nikis Street.
In addition to the above traffic regulations, the stopping and parking of all vehicles, where this is permitted, will be prohibited on the following streets of the city:
In the parking lot, which is located behind the platform of the official parade on Athan.Soulioti street, during the period from 16:00 on 10-27-2023 until the end of the parade on 10-28-2023.
General Kakavos, during the period from 16:00 on 10-27-2023 until the end of the parade on 10-28-2023.
Athan. Soulioti, in its section from Kallidopoulou to Str. Kakavou Street, during the time period from 16:00 on 10-27-2023 until the end of the parade on 10-28-2023.
Kallidopoulou, in its section from Delfon Street to Megalou Alexandrou Avenue, during the time period from 16:00 on 10-27-2023 until the end of the parade on 10-28-2023.
Karaiskaki, in the section of the street from Vas. Olgas Avenue to M. Alexandrou Avenue, during the period from 16:00 on 10-27-2023 until the end of the parade on 10-28-2023.
