With an emotional post on Facebook, Floga, the association of parents of children with neoplastic disease, recalls that October 21, 2002, was the day where the first child entered with his parents in the first “House” in Aegiou 6 – 8

“21 years have passed like it was yesterday…
We have said and you have heard a lot about our “homes”.
Families who found themselves on the road just when they needed them know best what it means to find a “home” of your own in a time of crisis.
A home that makes you feel like it’s your “own” space. You and your child, the other parents and their children, the parents who were in the same position as you before you and the workers, all together one family.
All together, we cried, hurt, disappointed, dreamed, laughed.
We sat at the same table, shared holidays, Easter, Christmas, held each other’s hand, prayed at the same icon, mourned, together.
Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and weekdays, days and nights, for each other.
On the ground floor of our house a wall full of photos. How many children, how many parents, how many moments…
Memories, thousands of memories mixed with joy and sadness. Children who passed and today enjoy their lives freely, but also beloved children – fortunately much less – who see us from above.
Many of us parents fought for many years to have our “Home” as it is today.
Today, October 21, our “Home” has a birthday!
